A New Beginning
As you embark on a new year, and a new begininng, what are your aspirations, your visions? Discover your mission in life. I’m not talking about goal setting. There is nothing wrong with having goals, but a vision is not the same thing. A vision originates with God. It is a spiritual thing. It is God’s idea for you. The vision God gives you will stretch and strengthen you. Many people do not ever put themselves in situations that force them to stretch their faith, talent, or resources. A rubber band is not effective unless it’s stretched. A rubber band has to be stretched in order to fill it’s purpose.
Regardless of your circumstances, with God’s help you will be able to conquer the situation. How can you be an overcomer, if you’ve never had to overcome anything? You must look beyond where you are, in order to see where you want to be.
Do not be discouraged and become a quitter. Don’t let anyone steal your dreams. Many times, it is the people closest to you who will try to distract you, and try to pull you down. When doubts and difficulties threaten to rob you of your dreams and visions, hang on and trust God all the way. Keep your focus on Him. He will make a way for your dream to come true.
I began my writing career by journaling when my two daughter’s were young children. I never realized at the time that I would some day become a published author. I was a Christian, but I did not understand the intimate walk with God until much later in my life. As the circumstances of my life began to unfold, so did the hearbreak and broken dreams. I truly understand what it means to feel as though you are all alone, and that no one really cares. My faith in Jesus Christ has sustained, and fulfiled me.
Through the years as my situation continued, my spiritual life became stronger. My desire is to glorify Him in all I do. And as I near the end of this journey, I have contentment knowing I will soon start another chapter in my life.
In Christian Love,
Grace
